5 Days Bwindi gorilla habituation and Queen Elizabeth safari is Uganda’s finest safari that you should not miss on your Uganda safari. Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.
On the 1st day of the safari, depending on where you are located in Kampala. Your safari driver from African Vacation Safaris will pick you from either hotel in Kampala or from Entebbe International Airport, he will welcome you and then brief you about the 4 days gorilla trekking safari. After the briefing you will embark on your journey to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park that takes you about 8 or 9 hours’ drive with the stopovers along the way, you will make a first stopover at the equator for equator experience, taking pictures, purchasing souvenirs, and simply taking coffee. After the equator experience you will drive then make a second stopover in Mbarara for the enroute lunch. After lunch, you will drive until you arrive to Bwindi with the stunning along the way. And once you arrive, you will check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 2: Gorilla habituation experience in Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park.
On the 2nd day of the Luxury 4 days gorilla habituation and Lake Bunyonyi, you will get up and then have an early breakfast, after breakfast and then with your lunch box meet your driver guide to go for gorilla habituation briefing at the park headquarters, gorilla habituation in Uganda takes place in Rushaga sector in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and then the activity allows a maximum of 4 people each day. After the briefing, you will be allocated an experienced park guide and the park rangers and then start trekking in the jungle that takes almost the whole day with the presence of the scientists, researchers, conservationists and among others. And once the gorillas are located you will be allowed to spend four hours in the presence of the habituated mountain gorillas in their natural habitat to where you will be able to learn and then monitor their behaviors, learn more about the gorillas, participate in the naming process, watch them carry out their daily activities, taking pictures and then recording the videos for the safari memories, participating in the naming process and among others. After the four hours you will trek back to the starting point to where you will be a warded a certificate for participating in gorilla habituation experience and then later transfer to your lodge for dinner relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park.
On the 3rd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast you will meet with your safari guide and then transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park, Uganda’s second largest national park that takes you approximately 2 to 3 hours’ drive and along the way you will sight the impressive features then with en-route lunch. After lunch you will continue with your journey and towards Queen you will pass through Ishasha sector to view the tree climbing lions lying on the fig tree branches and spotting other animals grazing in the open savannah plains. After the game drive you will transfer to the lodge for relaxation and then later be served with dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth national park.
On the 4th day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast, after breakfast your safari guide will pick you from your lodge and transfer you to the park for the morning game drive in the Kasenyi plains for impressive experience. During the morning game drive you will spot the different animal species that includes buffaloes, elephants, warthogs, Uganda Kobs, waterbucks, warthogs, and many others as they are grazing in the open savannah plains, during the game drive you will spot the predators like hyenas, lions, leopards looking for the fresh of the day, viewing various bird species like African Jacana, Great blue turaco, black bee-eaters, Yellow-billed storks, African fish eagles, and among many others. After the morning game drive you will drive back to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you will go for afternoon boat cruise on Kazinga channel, the water channel that connects Lake Edward and then Lake George. The boat cruise on Kazinga channel takes a period of 2 to 3 hours that gives you the opportunity of large herds of hippos, and large schools of crocodiles soaking themselves in the water, you will spot the elephants, waterbucks, and others along the water shores washing away their thirst, as well you will spot water bird species like cormorants, fish eagles, hornbills, yellow-bellied storks, Pink-backed pelican, Pied Kingfisher, Papyrus gonolek, Malachite Kingfisher, African fish eagles. After the boat cruise you will return to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.

Day 5: Departure to Kampala.
On the last day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy breakfast, after breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and then proceed with your journey to Kampala, along the way from your lodge you will have the en-route game viewing experience to spot diverse wildlife and sighting various bird species that you might have missed during the previous game drive. After you will proceed with your journey and make a stopover in Mbarara for the en-route lunch.
After lunch you will drive until Kampala to where your safari guide will drop you at the airport or your hotel in Kampala that will make your safari come to the end.
