Day 1: Pick up and transfer to your hotel.
On the first day of the safari, depending on your arrival flight, your safari guide from Munda Africa Safaris, will pick you from Entebbe International Airport and then welcome you about the safari. After the briefing he will transfer you to your hotel in Kampala, check in and then be served with dinner, then relax and overnight stay.
Day 2: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable forest national park.
On the 2nd day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and enjoy your breakfast, after breakfast you will check out from your lodge and then your safari driver will pick you and then start on your journey to Bwindi Impenetrable forest national park takes you about 8 or 9 hours’ drive with the stopovers along the way, you will make a first stopover at the equator for equator experience, taking pictures, purchasing souvenirs, and simply taking coffee. After the equator experience you will drive then make a second stopover in Mbarara for the enroute lunch. After lunch, you will drive until you arrive to Bwindi with the stunning along the way. And once you arrive, you will check in your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 3: First Gorilla trekking (Rushaga sector)
On the 3rd day of the safari, get up in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast together with your packed lunch, meet your safari guide and then transfer to the park headquarters for the briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking. After the briefing you will be grouped in various groups of about 8 members per group, and each group will be assigned with the experienced park ranger and park guide to lead them in the forest to look for the mountain gorillas. Gorilla trekking in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park takes about 30 minutes to 6 hours depending on the location of the gorillas, this is where you will trek through the steep, densely forested hills while fascinated with the various primates, bird species, and animal species and among many others in the forest. And once you find the gorillas you will be given one hour to be in the presence of the gorillas that is keeping 7 meters away from them. This is when you will watch the gorillas doing their daily activities like playing, grooming, feeding, mating and others. During that period that’s when you will take the pictures and then recording their videos. And after the experience you will trek back to the starting point and then your driver guide will transfer you to your lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight stay.
Day 4: Second Gorilla trekking (Nkuringo sector)
On the 4th day of the safari, you will wake up early in the morning and then be served with breakfast. After breakfast, with your packed lunch you will meet your safari guide and then go for the second gorilla trekking experience in the different gorilla trekking sector in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park. As it’s done in the first gorilla trekking, the second gorilla trekking experience will start with the briefing about the rules and regulations to follow during gorilla trekking. And then you will be transferred to the jungle to look for the gorillas and once found you will be awarded with one hour to be in the presence of the gorillas while watching them doing their daily activities. After the experience you will trek back to the starting point and then transferred for the optional Batwa cultural tours this is where you will visit the local Batwa village and then learn about their culture and traditions and others and then later drive to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: Depart to Kampala.
On the final day of the safari, wake up early in the morning and then enjoy your breakfast. After breakfast, you will check out from your lodge and then meet your safari guide and begin your journey to Kampala, along the way in Mbarara you will have enroute lunch. After lunch you will continue with your journey until you arrive in Kampala, and upon your arrive you will be dropped to your place of convenience that will make your safari come to the end.
